What a Custom Trade Show Exhibit Is

A custom trade show exhibit is a booth engineered for one brand: its own structure, its own graphics, its own traffic flow, built to a company's goals for a given show rather than adapted from a stock kit. Custom trade show displays sit in the same family, usually smaller and more portable, and they follow the same rule. If it was designed for you, it is custom. If you picked it from a catalog and added a logo, it is not.

The distinction matters on the floor. A catalog booth tells an attendee you bought a booth. A custom exhibit tells them what your company does before anyone says a word.

Custom exhibits come in every shape and size, and after 20 years we know the tradeoffs of each. Inline spaces reward vertical thinking. Islands reward openness. Double decks buy square footage where the floor plan will not. Here is how the formats compare.

Our Cerritos facility puts 50,000 square feet of fabrication inside Los Angeles County, which matters more than it sounds. Southern California companies rarely exhibit at home. They exhibit in Las Vegas, Chicago, and Orlando, and they need a builder close enough to walk the shop floor during production but capable of delivering anywhere.

That is the setup here. Clients in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego come to Cerritos to review the build in person, and we handle freight and installation wherever the show is. For Las Vegas shows specifically, our Las Vegas booth rental and build facility means your exhibit ships across town rather than across the country.

If owning is not the right call this cycle, our rental exhibits carry the same custom look without the capital commitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a custom trade show exhibit cost?

Custom exhibits generally start around $25,000 for a well-executed inline and run well into six figures for large islands with double decks and heavy technology. Size, structural complexity, materials, and technology drive the number. We scope to your budget rather than quoting blind.
What is the difference between a custom exhibit and a custom trade show display?

Scale, mostly. Displays are smaller and more portable, often built for 10x10 and 10x20 spaces and designed to travel easily. Exhibits are larger structures for island and peninsula spaces. Both are designed for your brand specifically, and we build both.
How far ahead should I start a custom exhibit?

Four to six months is comfortable for a first custom build, covering design, engineering, fabrication, and graphics without compressing any stage. Larger islands and double decks want more. We have delivered faster when a show moved, so ask even if the calendar looks tight.
Can I see the exhibit before it is built?

Yes. You get photorealistic 3D renderings and fly-through video during design, and you are welcome in our shop to see the physical build before it crates. That is what Render to Reality means here.
Do you handle shipping, installation, and storage?

Yes, all three. We manage freight, install and dismantle on site with our own supervision, and store your exhibit between shows at no additional charge.
Can a custom exhibit be reconfigured for different booth sizes? We design for it whenever a client's show schedule mixes space sizes. A well-engineered exhibit can run as a 20x20 island at one show and break down into a 10x20 inline at the next without looking like a compromise.
Do you work with companies outside California and Nevada? Yes. Our facilities are in Cerritos and Las Vegas, and we build for clients nationwide and install at shows across the country.
